Tottenham suffered another setback as they were beaten 2-1 at home by Leicester on Sunday.

Despite taking the lead through Richarlison, Tottenham ended up being beaten, with Jamie Vardy and Bilal El Khannouss both scoring for Leicester.

Ange Postecoglou’s side are languishing in 15th place in the Premier League table and have already suffered 13 league defeats this season.

This result will cause further questions to be asked regarding Postecoglou’s future at the club.

Although the Tottenham boss has had to contend with a host of injuries he will have been hugely frustrated with some of his team’s performances this campaign.

Tottenham’s recent results in the league have been so bad that only Southampton, who are bottom of the table, have fared worse of late.

As reported by Squawka, since the start of December only Southampton (nine) have lost more Premier League games than Tottenham (eight).

Furthermore, in that time period only Southampton (one) have picked up fewer points than Tottenham (five).

In addition, since the start of last month only Southampton (28) have conceded more Premier League goals than Tottenham (24).

Incidentally, Tottenham’s only Premier League win since the start of December came away to Southampton when they secured a 5-0 triumph. They also drew with Fulham and Wolves.

Postecoglou’s side have endured defeats by Bournemouth, Chelsea, Liverpool, Nottingham Forest, Newcastle, Arsenal, Everton and now Leicester.

Since the start of December they have conceded an alarming 24 goals in the league. 

The Tottenham boss will be eager for his side to return to winning ways in their next league game away to Brentford.

Despite their struggles, Tottenham are still eight points clear of the relegation zone.
