The President of Childhood and Motherhood discusses with the Governor of Beheira to enhance the protection and support of children’s rights

Dr. Sahar Al-Sunbati, President of the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood, met today with Dr. Jacqueline Azar, Governor of Beheira, to discuss ways to enhance the protection and support of children’s rights, in conjunction with the celebration of Children’s Day, which falls on November 20. This meeting comes within the framework of fruitful cooperation between the National Council for Childhood. Motherhood and Beheira Governorate to support activities that focus on protecting children and promoting sustainable development through major presidential initiatives, especially in the “Decent Life” villages, to work on building a bright future for the child. This came in the presence of Dr. Amal Zakaria, member of the House of Representatives and rapporteur of the branch of the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood in Beheira, and Dr. Karam Malak and Dr. Nour Osama, members of the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood,   And a number of program directors at the Council. 

Dr. Sahar Al-Sunbati confirmed that the Council  The National Council for Childhood and Motherhood said that the Council has implemented many awareness, cultural and development activities since the beginning of this month, to increase community awareness of children’s rights and support children from all target groups.    “Al-Sunbati” indicated: Noting that the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood implements many national initiatives, and participates in the implementation of the “Bedaya” initiative, under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and the national initiative to empower girls, “Dowi”, which the Council implements under the patronage of First Lady Intisar El-Sisi – wife of the President of the Republic, Which are pivotal steps to ensure a healthy and educational environment  And social and safe for children.

Dr. Sahar Al-Sunbati stressed the importance of supporting partnerships with various parties to implement integrated plans that provide distinguished medical and educational services for children, in addition to launching initiatives that enhance the economic empowerment of mothers and confront issues such as violence and electronic blackmail of children.

For her part, Dr. Jacqueline Azar welcomed Dr. Sahar Al-Sunbati, praising  The role of the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood in protecting the Egyptian child and supporting him to achieve comprehensive development for children, stressing that the governorate will continue to provide all forms of support, especially in rural and deprived areas, to ensure the provision of an integrated social, educational and health environment for children, and work to develop their capabilities and confront negative phenomena by spreading Positive concepts.

Dr. Sahar Al-Sunbati also witnessed a meeting of the General Committee for Child Protection in the governorate, headed by the governor, to discuss ways to support children’s rights in the governorate and support children at risk, and she honored a number of leaders. Members of the Child Protection Units in the governorate in appreciation of their efforts in protecting children, their loyalty and their hard work. Dr. Sahar Al-Sunbati also inaugurated the first branch of the council in the governorate after the issuance of its reorganization law.

Within the framework of celebrating childhood holidays, and within the ongoing efforts to support more children and families In need of the villages of the presidential initiative “A Decent Life”   Dr. Sahar Al-Sunbati, President of the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood, and Dr. Jacqueline Azer – Governor of Beheira, made a field tour in Al-Abadiya village in Damanhour Center, in which they inspected Al-Abadiya Primary School, and a number of activities implemented within the two initiatives “A New Beginning for Human Building” and the National Initiative for Empowering Girls “Dawai”.

The tour began with a visit to Al-Abadiya Joint Primary School, where the various activities organized under the umbrella of the two national initiatives “A New Beginning for Human Building” were inspected. And the national initiative to empower girls “Dawwi”, which aims to enhance positive thinking and digital learning skills, and provide a safe space for girls to express themselves, as well as providing protection from harmful practices that affect them, such as psychological and physical violence. 

Distinctive artistic performances were also presented to the school’s students, and a fruitful participatory dialogue was organized to introduce the audience to the presidential initiative that seeks to develop education, during which the achievements achieved in various sectors were highlighted, reflecting the state’s ongoing efforts to achieve Sustainable development and improving the standard of living for citizens. During the events,   Some souvenirs were given to 250 students to motivate them to learn and create. The activities also witnessed interactive presentations for school students, which included presenting an overview of the objectives of the “Bedaya” initiative, and active participation from the Takatuf Association for Development, which focused on raising awareness of the child helpline 16000, children’s rights, and the dangers of the Internet. As well as following up on many artistic, cultural and recreational activities for the students.

Al-Sunbati completed the tour by inspecting the convoy. Medical services established by the village health unit, which provided free medical services in the specialties of family planning, pediatrics, internal medicine, and dentistry. The convoy also included awareness-raising activities about positive education and the prevention of health problems resulting from negative use of the Internet.

 

Dr. Sahar Al-Sunbati and Dr. Jacqueline Azer also witnessed special celebrations and events organized at the Misr Public Library in Damanhour, with wide participation from children of special needs. The activities included the participation of… An active group of children entertained the audience with various activities and interactive workshops, in addition to organizing workshops and entertainment activities centered around creativity and community interaction.

 

The celebration also concluded by taking a group photo with the children on the The Roman Theater inside the Egyptian Public Library in Damanhour.
