The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities inspects the latest work developments in the services development project in the Giza Pyramids area
Within the framework of the periodic tours undertaken by Sherif Fathi, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, to museums and archaeological sites to inspect the restoration work being done there and developing the services provided to visitors, the Minister visited the Giza Pyramids area, in order to find out the latest developments in the project to develop services there, in preparation for the imminent opening. The project will be fully completed within the next few period.
He was accompanied during the visit by Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, CEO of the Grand Egyptian Museum Authority, and Major General Atef Moftah, General Engineering Supervisor of the Grand Egyptian Museum Project and the surrounding area, Engineer Mustafa Ali El-Din, Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Minister’s Office Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Ismail Khaled, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, and Professor Ashraf Mohy, Director General of Antiquities of Cairo and Giza.
The tour included a visit to the entry gates and the equipment that was provided in them, as they were provided with informational and informational panels that included an introduction to the prices of tickets to enter the archaeological area, and some tourist and informational instructions about the area as a whole and the itineraries. The visit, in addition to preparing the area to receive facilitated tourism from people of determination and preparing visiting paths and equipped bathrooms for them, in a way that works to provide all means of accessibility in the archaeological area.
The tour also included a visit to the administrative building and the electronic surveillance and camera control rooms.< /p>
The route for tourists and visitors to the region was also inspected, which will be through safe electric transportation means that take into account environmental standards, and allow visitors to enjoy an enjoyable view of the region’s landmarks during their travel, and what is being implemented in light of the project to develop the services provided therein, including It contributes to improving the tourist experience there and making it more attractive, in addition to inspecting the paths being prepared for the movement of camels and horses while tourists ride and tour them.
Mr. Sherif Fathi praised the effort made to develop the area,  ; Directing the need to ensure the provision of all services provided to visitors to improve the tourist experience in a manner commensurate with the importance of the historical and archaeological area in light of the growth witnessed by Egypt in the incoming tourism movement.
It is worth noting that the development work also includes the establishment of a center To serve tourists, hotel restrooms, smart gates with electronic tickets, cinema halls, and a medical center, in addition to the presence of a VIP center, and working to provide everything the visitor needs to make his visit to the archaeological area a distinctive experience, including It contributes to improving the tourism experience for visitors, creating a positive impact that prompts them to repeat and promote it in their countries and attract more visitors.
