The Minister of Labor meets his Iraqi counterpart to discuss joint labor files

The Minister of Labor, Muhammad Gibran, met with his Iraqi counterpart, Ahmed Al-Asadi, the Iraqi Minister of Labor and Social Affairs. The two ministers discussed a group of joint files related to the field of work between the two brotherly countries.

 

< p>The two ministers met in Cairo during their opening of a discussion workshop entitled "Draft Law on Trade Union Organizations in Iraq" Organized by the Parliamentary Work Committee, civil society organizations, and the Iraqi Ministry of Labor, Iraqi unions and leaders of the General Federation of Trade Unions in Iraq, headed by Star Denbos, participated in the workshop.

The opening was attended by the head of the General Federation of Egyptian Trade Unions, Abdel Moneim. The Minister of Labor, Mohamed Gibran, said that holding this workshop on Egyptian soil reflects the depth of cooperation and historical relations between the two countries in all fields.

Minister Gibran added that these meetings confirm the keenness of the two sides to exchange expertise and benefit from the Egyptian experience in the field of Legislation pertaining to trade union organizations, with the aim of issuing laws that are consistent with international labor standards and achieve balance between the two sides of the production process, employers and workers, within the framework of enhancing the culture of social dialogue between the three labor parties.
