The Deputy Minister of Health inspects the services of a health unit and discusses the golden thousand days at a symposium in Zagazig

Dr. Abla Al-Alfi, Deputy Minister of Health and Population, made a field visit to Sharkia Governorate, during which she was accompanied by Dr. Hani Mustafa Gomaa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in the governorate, where they inspected the Bahria Razna Family Medicine Unit in Zagazig, and the Deputy Minister participated in an awareness seminar at the Egyptian Public Library. The tour began with a visit to the Bahria Razna Family Medicine Unit of the Health Administration in Zagazig, which serves about 34,349 people, during which the Deputy Minister inspected the rooms providing family planning and counseling services, where she reviewed Frequency records and ensured the availability of various family planning methods and the integrity of recording frequency data.

 

Dr. Abla praised the efforts of family planning teams in providing services. High quality, stressing the importance of increasing women’s access to family planning methods and improving reproductive health to reduce unwanted pregnancies. She also recommended intensifying health awareness campaigns and enhancing the advice provided to women. Dr. Abla Alfi also participated in an awareness seminar on the "Golden Thousand Days" initiative.
