The Damietta Labor Directorate organizes an awareness seminar on illegal immigration and human trafficking
Director of the Directorate of Labor in Damietta, Fathi Al-Talawi, said that an awareness seminar was organized on illegal immigration and human trafficking, in the presence of 120 workers and citizens, where they were introduced to the services of the Directorate of Labor.
Al-Talawi added – in his report to the Ministry of Labor on Sunday – The symposium addressed several topics, including the causes of illegal immigration, its forms, its danger to youth, families and society, and the forms of human trafficking identified by international standards and Egyptian laws.
He explained that it also addressed the importance of the national plan to combat the worst forms of child labor and support the family ( 2018-2025) which aims to care for and protect children from forms of exploitation in the labor market in implementation of the provisions of Labor Law No. 12 of 2003, the Children’s Law No. 12 of 1996, amended by Law No. 126 of 2008, Ministerial Resolution No. 215 of 2021 and international standards in this regard.
< p>He continued that these efforts come in light of the implementation of the directives of the Minister of Labor, Muhammad Gibran, to the labor directorates in the governorates, to intensify efforts and cooperate with all ministries and concerned authorities. To quickly achieve the goals of the presidential initiative “A New Beginning for Human Building” Launched by Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly; To improve the quality of life for all citizens in various parts of the Republic. He pointed out that during the events, the role of occupational safety and health in securing the work environment in establishments, protecting workers from risks that may occur in establishments, and the service of issuing registration certificates, a license to practice the craft, and a certificate measuring skill level were discussed.
