The closing symposium of the General Press Conference launches its vision on press legislation
The closing symposium of the work of the Freedoms Committees, headed by Dr. Wahid Abdel Majeed, and the Legislation Committees, headed by journalist writer Muhammad Basal, issued a draft of a draft law on publishing issues that will be presented during the sixth general conference of the Journalists Syndicate scheduled to be held during the period from 14 to 16 December of this month, and a vision for the new unified labor law. Concerning the wages of journalists, contrary to the previous law issued in 2003.
The head of the Journalists Syndicate, Khaled Al-Balshi, said in a meeting held today: At the headquarters of the Journalists Syndicate – “Today we are presenting the outputs of the Freedoms and Legislation Committees before presenting them to the General Conference within the framework of a community discussion called for by the government regarding amending the Labor Law, which is the law that fully regulates labor relations in all journalistic institutions, especially private ones.”
The captain continued that the second axis that was developed by the Freedoms Committee to be presented during the conference; It is based on legislation on publishing issues, and a draft law was reached from the point of view of the Journalists Syndicate.
