Soft drink company sends Brian To’o an insane amount of Coke Zero for his breakfast addiction
Panthers winger and four-time NRL Premiership winner Brian To’o has been sent an enormous amount of Coke Zero after the soft drink company found out about his extraordinary, and very unhealthy, pre-game habit.
While most NRL stars take their diets very seriously to stay in top shape, To’o is is known for his love of junk food and soft drink.
Before the 2024 decider, the Penrith flyer sat down to eat a large bowl of chips with aioli, two breakfast burgers and a staggering six Coke Zeros.
However, the man himself can’t see what the problem is.
‘People always get weirded out with my breakfast,’ he told News Corp.
‘They think something is wrong with me but it’s all good.’

Penrith winger admits people get ‘weirded out’ by his diet, which has left his teammates stunned
On Monday, The Coca-Cola Company sent To’o 24 cartons of the soft drink as an early Christmas present.
‘Thank you @cocacolaau for sending through my breakfast package,’ posted the Penrith star alongside a photo of himself and his son with the delivery.
Panthers forward Liam Martin said he would be ‘dying in five minutes’ if he had the same meal before a match and his other teammates have previously joked about him having the ‘worst diet in the NRL’.
‘I don’t know how he is a professional athlete,’ Martin added.
‘If he’s ever worried we’re on an away trip where there will be no Coke Zeros, he brings his own.’
Halfback Nathan Cleary is also dumbfounded by how his mate can still perform at incredibly high level despite what he puts into his body.
‘His diet is the most unique I’ve seen for a rugby league player,’ Cleary said.
‘I’ve never seen somebody have four cans of Coke and 10 hash browns on gameday for breakfast.
Nathan Cleary politely described To’o’s food intake as ‘unique’, while Panthers five-eighth Jarome Luai said he has the ‘worst diet in NRL history’
‘He manages to do it and is still a beast on the field, so props to him.’
To’o’s teammate Jarome Luai once floated the theory that the winger’s unusual diet was a secret to his success.
‘He is a bit of a different breed and has come back from injury a few times, pretty bad ones too,’ Luai said.
‘It is probably what he eats. It’s the worst diet in NRL history, but it is working for him. Chicken and cheese … full stop. I can’t give any more away.’
To’o has been one of the team’s standouts in their run of four straight grand final victories and is sure to be one of their stars in the 2025 season.
