Melania Trump insists ‘my husband’s not Hitler’ as she fires back at critics claiming Donald is a ‘Nazi’
Melania Trump defended her husband Donald Trump on Tuesday, saying he is not a new version of Adolf Hitler.
Democrats, including Barack Obama, slammed Trump for holding a rally at Madison Square Garden that they compared to a Nazi event after many of the speakers made racist and sexist comments.
Trump has defended himself from the attacks and now his wife has stepped in to do the same, making a rare television appearance to talk about the election.
‘It is terrible. He is not Hitler and his supporters stand behind him because they want to see country successful. We see what kind of support he has,’ Melania Trump said during an interview on Fox and Friends.

Donald Trump’s massive at Madison Square Garden, where Melania spoke, was compared to a Nazi rally that took place there on February 20, 1939.
‘Donald Trump’s got this big rally going at Madison Square Garden,’ Tim Walz said of it over the weekend. ‘There’s a direct parallel to a big rally that happened in the mid-1930s at Madison Square Garden.’
Obama, speaking at a rally for Kamala Harris in Philadelphia on Monday night, went after Trump, calling him out for the speakers at his Sunday night event in New York’s biggest venue.
‘The man holds this big rally in Madison Square Garden,’ Obama said, noting the warmup speakers were ‘saying the most racist, sexist, bigoted, stereotypes. One guy called Puerto Rico ‘an island of garbage.”
‘These are Americans. They’re people. And that is the reason why this election should not be close,’ he continued.
The former president denied the charges.
‘I’m not a Nazi. I’m the opposite of a Nazi,’ Trump told thousands of supporters at Georgia Tech on Monday night.
The comparisons came after Trump’s former chief of staff John Kelly said Trump spoke admirably of Hitler and his generals. Trump has denied that.
The Madison Square Garden event was filled with controversial moments.
Trump´s childhood friend David Rem referred to Harris as ‘the Antichrist’ and ‘the devil.’ Businessman Grant Cardone told the crowd that Harris ‘and her pimp handlers will destroy our country.’
Melania Trump, in her interview on Fox & Friends, expressed confidence her husband would prevail on Election Day.
‘I feel good. My husband, he’s all over the country traveling,’ she said. ‘I feel good. My husband, he’s all over the country traveling. We saw Sunday evening, Sunday through the day was amazing day, a lot of support out there.’

Melania Trump has barely been out on the campaign trail.
Her appearance at Madison Square Garden on Sunday was her first time at a campaign rally this cycle. She attended the Republican National Convention but didn’t speak. She did not attend either presidential debate.
She said she spoke on Sunday because ‘I want to support my husband as well so I was there for him and for everybody else.’
She also admitted that she is careful about where she goes after the two assassination attempts on her husband.
‘It is different. It is much more dangerous and I am very vigilant and selective where I go, what do I do, you never know. It is one person. And it is dangerous out there,’ she said
She noted when Donald Trump leaves for an event she says to him: ‘I always say to him, good luck and be safe. You never know what kind of phone call you will receive and what can happen in life. Life is fragile and we need to enjoy it everyday.’
