Launching of the tests of the specific scientific program for expatriates in Shafi’i jurisprudence at Al-Azhar Mosque

The tests for the specific scientific program for expatriates at Al-Azhar Mosque were launched today. The tests, which are being conducted under the patronage of His Eminence the Grand Imam Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, witnessed the participation of 320 male and female students in the specialty of Shafi’i jurisprudence, first level, which reflects the great demand for this program.

 

In this context, Dr. Abdel Moneim Fouad, General Supervisor of Scientific Activities of the Al-Azhari Corridor at the Mosque, stated: Al-Azhar said that the program aims to provide distinguished education to foreign students, with a focus on providing them with the basic knowledge they need in their various fields, stressing the importance of this program in enhancing understanding and facilitating religious sciences for foreign students.

 

Dr. Hani Odeh, Director General of Al-Azhar Mosque, also explained that the program aims to enhance religious and cultural knowledge for expatriate students, noting that the experience of the scientific program for expatriates is an important step towards achieving the educational goals of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, which enhances Al-Azhar’s status as a scientific and religious beacon in the world.

 

For their part, the students expressed their sense of pride in being part of this program, and one of the students said: “The experience was very useful. “It helped us gain a deeper understanding of the concepts of Shafi’i jurisprudence.” While another pointed out the importance of the academic support they receive from the faculty, which enhances their chances of success in the future.

 

It is noteworthy that the Al-Azhari Gallery launched this program last July, and it aims International students in five main specializations include Arabic language, interpretation, hadith, jurisprudence, and doctrine. This program comes within the framework of Al-Azhari Corridor’s efforts to expand the scope of religious education and meet the needs of students of different nationalities.
