LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) – Fans of Liam Payne, former member of One Direction, gathered Thursday night, October 25, at Independence Hills Park to honor him.
Payne, who died last Wednesday after a fall from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, was remembered by fans worldwide.
The Laredo event invited fans to bring candles, flowers, food, and One Direction items. Dressed in One Direction or Liam Payne shirts, many fans wore red to show their respect. At 7 p.m., they released balloons in Payne’s memory, followed by a quiet moment as his songs played.
The gathering ended with candlelight and shared memories, as fans said goodbye to Payne.
