Health: Screening 16 million citizens through the early detection initiative for chronic diseases and kidney disease

 

The Ministry of Health and Population announced that 16 million, 8,360 citizens have been examined, as part of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s initiative, to examine and treat chronic diseases and early detection of kidney disease, since the launch of the initiative in September 2021 until today.

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the initiative works through 3,601 primary care units nationwide, and aims to Early diagnosis and treatment of chronic diseases and the provision of high-quality health services to all citizens in the age group over 40 years, in addition to the group of young people over the age of 18, who have a history of illness related to chronic diseases.
