Experts: The constitutional ruling is an important step to achieve social justice and equality between landlord and tenant

In this regard, Ahmed Al-Behairi, advisor to the Association of Victims of Old Rent, said that the ruling of the Constitutional Court is a nail in the coffin of the old rental law, and is a step towards achieving justice between landlords and tenants, and with this ruling, the embarrassment of the government and the House of Representatives is lifted, pointing out the importance of accelerating Implementing the ruling of the Constitutional Court.

 

 

Determine the rental value and duration according to the supply and demand policy

 

 The advisor to the Association of Victims of Old Rent confirmed in a special statement to “Rose Al-Youssef Gateway” that determining the value of the rent or its duration should be left to the policy of supply and demand, as if the supply increases, the value decreases  And vice versa, the government also plays a major role in confronting excessive rents by offering housing units at reduced prices, just as the government intervenes in reducing the prices of other goods, pointing out that if the old rental law is abolished, huge amounts will return to the state treasury as a result of raising the rental value of endowment properties.

Al-Behairi called on the House of Representatives to abolish the old rent law, and not just amend the unconstitutional article, stressing that there are rents worth limited pounds. Al-Jabali explained: “The joint committee will listen to the opinions of both the President of the National Council for Human Rights and the President of the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics, in a way that ensures the provision of accurate data and statistics on this file, and the main stakeholders, owners and tenants, will have the opportunity to express their opinions and positions. By inviting their representatives through the Advisor, Minister of Parliamentary Council Affairs, Legal Affairs and Political Communication, and allocating separate meetings for each party, so that each of them can present his point of view transparently, without any “Pressure.”
