Conference launch" Artificial intelligence opportunities and challenges" At the Library of Alexandria today

Today, Monday, the Library of Alexandria is witnessing the launch of the second edition of the conference (Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities before Challenges) under the slogan “Unleashing Innovation,” over the course of two days, December 2-3, 2024, with the conference activities opening tomorrow, Monday, December 2, at 10:00 am, in the Great Hall of the BA Conference Center.

The Library of Alexandria organizes this conference in cooperation with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, where the first day addresses several important topics, namely the impact of artificial intelligence in promoting entrepreneurship in green fields, the launch and success of startups in their early stages with its help, in addition to the extent to which artificial intelligence is available to everyone and the journey Entrepreneurs using it, and its impact on the infrastructure of information centers.

In the field of creative arts, the theme of integrating cognitive neuroscience and interior architecture, human and machine intelligence, will be presented, as well as the role of neuroscience in the development of school classroom interiors, and explorations in artificial intelligence and artistic practices.

In the field of education, research experiences in developing educational environments using artificial intelligence, practical steps to solve research problems, and also digital universities based on artificial intelligence are highlighted. The first day ends with a workshop entitled (How to build a distinctive business model in a market full of challenges).
As for the second day, its topics will revolve around the role of the Fund for Innovators and Geniuses in enhancing the entrepreneurship environment in Egypt, and mutual understanding with artificial intelligence. Then comes the healthcare topic, through which it will present the existing challenges and inspiring stories about the role of artificial intelligence in formulating and implementing public health policies in… The continent of Africa, smart health, introduction to digital health and working in technology, medical image processing, the impact of artificial intelligence on dental practice, and also how “Chatbots” can serve as partners in critical thinking (intervention via Internet).

The conference also addresses the theme of smart homes and cities to talk about the role of artificial intelligence in intelligent transportation systems, improving customer service in smart car service centers through the Internet of Things, and linking aquaculture to the Internet of Things, in addition to a presentation of the integrated approach to building flexible cities, as well as various solutions. For smart buildings (commercial / residential), then the conference will end its activities with a workshop entitled (Entrepreneurship: Opportunities and Challenges).

The conference comes in light of the Library of Alexandria’s interest in spreading science and culture in all aspects of the life of Egyptian and Arab citizens, as a center of excellence in the production and dissemination of knowledge, which makes it keen to invite symbols from the statures of Egyptian, Arab and international society to its various activities. Because of their scientific and intellectual weight, their positive impact on society, and their continuous, innovative addition to keeping pace with the changes of the times.
