Chairman of the Healthcare Authority: Egyptian-British cooperation to establish the first oncology center of excellence
Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki, Chairman of the General Authority for Health Care and General Supervisor of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Project, stressed the importance of joint cooperation in developing the health care system in Egypt, noting that cooperation with the British National Health Service (NHS) will include establishing the first center Distinction for Oncology has joint experience with the Christie Foundation, the first and largest oncology institution in Britain.

He explained that it was agreed to operate an integrated oncology care center at the Ismailia Medical Complex, in twinning with the British Christie Foundation, to transfer global expertise and create a qualitative shift in oncology services in Egypt, in addition to cooperation in the field of oncology treatment and research.

Al-Sabki indicated that the cooperation will include training medical staff at the Ismailia Medical Complex with the participation of 14 experts from England on diagnosis and the latest treatments for oncology patients, in addition to sending Egyptian doctors to train at NHS institutions in Britain.
For his part, Dr. Sami Khalil, General Manager of Takada Egypt, said: “We are proud to cooperate with the Healthcare Authority, and believe in consolidating partnerships between the government and private sectors for comprehensive development,” stressing the importance of clinical research to develop modern and innovative oncology treatments for the Egyptian patient.< /p>
In turn, representatives of the British National Health Service (NHS) expressed their great happiness at the meeting, stressing that what they saw during their visit to the Ismailia Medical Complex affiliated with the Health Care Authority indicates a qualitative shift in health care services in Egypt, praising the dedication of the medical staff. administrative, quality of care, and electronic system, stressing that cooperation with the authority will achieve great successes in the future.
