“Cairo Water Week”: the largest event in the world

It is the largest event in the world that highlights the promotion of the value of water on the international agenda. In its seventh edition this year, Egypt gained international support and support for its fair share of the Nile water, which was evident in the positions of many countries. Which in the past was neutral, like Japan and many international organizations, as the date of Cairo Water Week this year coincides with the African Water Week and the African Hydrological Conference, which represents an impetus for discussing water issues at the continental level. Cairo Water Week brought together specialized experts from around the world. To discuss issues related to water management and climate change, Cairo Water Week in its seventh edition addressed 5 major topics, including shared water governance, managing water resources to enhance the resilience of communities, innovation in financing water security solutions, and working on water and climate adaptation with resilience, building… Climate smart communities in terms of planning and legislation.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation has organized six editions of Cairo Water Week since 2018, which witnessed the launch of the first edition of the week, and participated in the six editions of Water Week – according to official statistics. – 24,100 participants.
