A written message to President Sisi from his Mauritanian counterpart, received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, Dr. Badr Abdel Ati, received, during his meeting today, Tuesday, with Moulay Mohamed Al-Aghdhaf, Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Mauritanian Republic, the written message addressed from Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Sheikh Al-Ghazouani, to the President of the Republic.
The meeting came on the occasion of Al-Adaf’s visit to Cairo, where he is participating in the World Urban Forum as a representative of the Mauritanian President.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs appreciated the Mauritanian participation in the World Urban Forum, stressing the interest in strengthening relations between the two brotherly countries in various fields. He expressed his aspiration to hold the second session of the Egyptian/Mauritanian joint committee in Nouakchott during the coming period.
He also highlighted Egypt’s interest in improving the path of economic cooperation between the two countries, through the participation of Egyptian companies in the infrastructure projects that Mauritania intends to It will be launched during the coming period, with the importance of building on the momentum that will be generated by the convening of the joint committee between the two countries to advance the path of bilateral cooperation at the economic, trade and investment levels.
Means were also discussed to advance joint cooperation through the involvement of Egyptian companies in various sectors in Mauritania. In the fields of energy, agriculture, fisheries and mining, in a way that enhances bilateral economic and trade cooperation, and achieves the common interest of the two countries and the two brotherly peoples.
