Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, held a meeting today; To review the global proposal procedures for planning the area surrounding the pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum, and up to Sphinx Airport in the north and Dahshur in the south, in the presence of Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, and Dr. Abdel Khaleq Ibrahim, Assistant Minister of Housing.
At the beginning of the meeting The Prime Minister indicated that this meeting comes within the framework of a series of meetings and gatherings that are held within the framework of interest in the pyramids area, the Grand Egyptian Museum, which we will witness its opening soon, and the neighboring archaeological areas. And the surrounding area, which is registered with UNESCO.
He pointed out the unique historical and archaeological treasures contained in this region and its surroundings, which requires placing it on the agenda of attention and raising the efficiency of the level of services provided to its foreign and Egyptian visitors, in a way that is commensurate with its status. And its archaeological and historical value.
Counselor Muhammad Al-Homsani, the official spokesman for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, stated that the meeting discussed the measures taken regarding this global proposal, and a number of issues were reviewed.
