Minister of Supply: The opening of the one-day market in Cairo Governorate next Friday

 The Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, Dr. Sherif Farouk, announced that a one-day market will be opened next Friday in Nasr City in front of the Al Rashdan Mosque, in front of Gates 10 and 11 in the conference hall, in coordination with the Ministry of Local Development and the Cairo Governorate.

  >Farouk explained – in a statement today, Monday – that the market will be open from eight in the morning until five in the evening, provided that all strategic food commodities will be offered in addition to meat, frozen poultry, vegetables and fruits. With discounts, large quantities of goods are made available.

 

He said, “The one-day market in Nasr City is carried out in cooperation with the Cairo Governorate, and under the supervision of the Ministry of Supply through the Holding Company for Industries.” “Food, in cooperation with 50 companies, including public and private sector companies,” noting that all types of food commodities are being offered, and the single-market experience is being generalized at the global level. He added: “There are intensive government efforts to create a one-day market as part of the state’s moves to control prices,” stressing that such markets and outlets will provide goods to citizens directly from the producers. Without passing through intermediate links, which contributes to increasing the supply of basic commodities at appropriate discounts.

 

He directed that all efforts be made to limit the multiplicity of intermediate links, including It contributes to the delivery of goods to citizens at reasonable prices, stressing the importance of continuous coordination between government agencies and the private sector.
