Urgent| Discussion of the new draft criminal procedure law in the House of Representatives.. tomorrow
This week, the House of Representatives will hold important sessions during which it will discuss criminal procedures in principle only, amend the Police Authority Law, and listen to the Minister of Finance’s statement about confronting economic challenges.

The Council’s office decided to include the committee’s report The Joint Committee of the Constitutional and Legislative Affairs Committee and the Office of the Human Rights Committee announced the draft of the new criminal procedure law (in principle) (in sessions on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday), which represents an integrated law of criminal procedure that achieves a new philosophy that is consistent with the 2014 Constitution and the National Human Rights Strategy, and avoids many observations. And the recommendations issued by some bodies affiliated with official international organizations, in line with technological development, all in a way that achieves the highest interest of the state in the field of human rights at the internal and international levels, and achieves the desired stability of procedural rules, as it guarantees more guarantees of rights and freedoms for the Egyptian citizen in a manner befitting the Republic.
The Council’s agenda also included a discussion of the draft law submitted by the government amending some provisions of Law No. 109 of 1971 regarding the Police Authority ( At the session on Sunday, November 3).
The draft law aims to modernize and develop training systems in police institutes to meet the increasing challenges and developments and keep pace with the technical development witnessed by crime in all its forms.

The draft law submitted by the government renewing Law No. 79 of 2016 regarding ending tax disputes will be discussed. This is to provide the opportunity for financiers and taxpayers to submit requests to end tax disputes pending or pending before tax appeal committees and courts at various levels.
