The Algerian President: Relations with Egypt are strong and our struggle is common in defense of the Arab nation

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune stressed the depth of bilateral relations between Algeria and Egypt, and that they are characterized by complete understanding and a common desire to enhance cooperation, especially in the investment fields, stressing that bilateral relations are strong and rooted in the history of the two countries’ common struggle in defense of the components of the Arab nation.< /p>

President Tebboune said, in a joint press conference with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi following their discussions at the Federal Palace on Sunday, that Algeria considers Egypt its largest trading partner in the region, as the volume of Algerian imports from Egypt reached about one billion dollars, indicating that Expanding investments in the energy sector and gas exploration in the southern and maritime regions of Algeria.

He added that Egyptian companies, such as the “Arab Contractors” Company, contribute effectively to construction projects and infrastructure development in Algeria, stressing that Algeria is open to all Egyptian companies.

He explained that he directed the Algerian Minister of Housing to deal with Egyptian companies in all architectural projects and building new cities, praising Egypt’s experience in this field.

Regarding the future of cooperation between the two countries, the President stressed Al-Jazairi said that the joint higher committee between Algeria and Egypt will meet at the beginning of 2025, to discuss prospects for cooperation at the cultural and economic levels.
