Prime Minister: Important participation of President Sisi in summit meetings "Brix"

  Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, chaired today; The weekly meeting of the government, at its headquarters in the capital of the new administration, where the meeting witnessed the discussion and review of a number of work files and important topics.

 

The Prime Minister began the meeting, referring to the important visit he is making. Currently, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, is in the Russian Federation to participate in the BRICS summit, in which Egypt is participating as a member for the first time since it officially joined it at the beginning of this year.

 

The Prime Minister pointed out the importance of participating in the summit’s work, and what it included in President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s review of Egypt’s vision and positions regarding many important topics and issues at the international and regional levels, and what is related to supporting and strengthening aspects of cooperation and coordination between various countries. The grouping in light of the presence of many challenges that the world is witnessing on the political and economic sides, in order to achieve the interests and aspirations of the peoples of the grouping countries.

 

The Prime Minister also noted the importance of the role of the BRICS group in supporting And enhancing economic and development cooperation among member states, in view of the size of the population of the countries of the group, as the population of these countries amounts to about half of the world’s population, in addition to its acquisition of 20% of the volume of global trade movement.

 

In this context, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly directed the ministers to the importance of following up on the various files and aspects of cooperation within the framework of the BRICS group, as well as discussing investment opportunities and maximizing the competitive elements and advantages that would contribute to establishing many joint projects. With the countries of the group, in order to enhance the importance of participation in this important economic grouping, and contribute to achieving the goals desired by joining it.

 

With regard to foreign affairs, the Prime Minister referred to the meetings And the meetings that His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi recently held with many international officials, during which many issues of common interest were discussed and reviewed, and the latest developments in regional and international situations and events, and their repercussions on the region and the world, noting the important messages that the President emphasized. During these meetings and gatherings, it is important to work to put an end to the ongoing war in Gaza and Lebanon, and to move forward with the paths of ceasefire, hostage exchange, and implementing more humanitarian aid, in addition to making more efforts to restore security and peace in the region and defuse tension in it.     

 

 At the local level, the Prime Minister referred to the launch by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, of the activities of the second edition of the World Conference on Population, Health and Human Development, The important messages included in his interventions, stressing in this context that the projects that are being implemented during this stage, as well as the initiatives that are being launched, are primarily aimed at building the Egyptian human being.

 

During his speech, the Prime Minister moved to refer to his recent visit to Minya Governorate, to follow up on the executive position of a number of service and development projects being established on the governorate’s land in various sectors, a large part of which is being implemented within the framework of the presidential initiative " A decent life,” pointing out the importance of these field visits in identifying any obstacles or challenges facing the implementation of these projects, with the aim of working to speed up their completion rates and entering service as soon as possible, which contributes to raising the efficiency of services provided to citizens through these projects.

 

Finally, the Prime Minister drew attention to the meeting held yesterday by the Supreme Committee for Regulating Markets and Commodity Prices, reiterating the importance of continuous monitoring of the movement of markets and commodity prices, as well as the existence of a stable and sustainable mechanism. It ensures achieving balance in the markets, in addition to expanding the establishment of more commodity outlets and exhibitions throughout the Republic, which contributes to making goods available in appropriate quantities and prices to citizens.
