9 Major General Dr. Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, Governor of Assiut, directed the continuation of surprise inspection campaigns on markets and sales outlets and intensifying them to confront monopolists of goods to achieve discipline and take legal measures against those who violate them, stressing that the governorate is proceeding according to a specific plan to protect and preserve the rights of consumers and to confront with all force any violating, exploitative merchant who By withholding goods from trading or speculating in their price to achieve discipline in the markets and prevent any harmful, uncontrolled practices to ensure that basic goods reach citizens at the appropriate prices in implementation of the directives of the political leadership and the assignments of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, and within the framework of the continuous follow-up by the Ministry of Local Development in this regard.< /p>

 

The governor explained that the Directorate of Supply and Internal Trade, led by Khaled Muhammad Ahmed, Undersecretary of the Ministry, launched several campaigns on bakeries and markets in various centers, cities and villages of the governorate, and was able to issue 211 various catering violations, as a car was seized. Loaded with 2 tons of raw materials without invoices, 7 packages of subsidized local flour inside a port mill were seized, in addition to expired food commodities. 8 reports were issued for selling cigarettes at more than the prescribed price, 5 reports were issued for not announcing the prices of stove cylinders, and 7 reports were issued for not announcing the prices for shops, cafes, restaurants and stores. Commercial, in addition to issuing 185 reports for municipal bakeries. A bakery was closed for a month due to it producing underweight local bread with more than 20 grams per loaf. Reports were issued for bakeries disbursing 16 shekels of subsidized local flour, as well as issuing other reports, including lack of weight and specifications, lack of cleanliness, and the absence of a data plate. Advertisements, a partial stop, the absence of a weighing scale, the disposal of quantities of flour, and the failure to give cash to citizens, and the necessary legal measures were taken against the violators.
