The Baltimore Ravens have waived wide receiver Diontae Johnson two months after acquiring him in a trade from the Carolina Panthers.
Since arriving in Maryland, he appeared in three wins and a loss for the Ravens, completing just one reception for six yards.
On Friday, Adam Schefter reported that the team waived Johnson after his short stint.
Johnson will ‘go on waivers and can be claimed Monday at 4 pm ET. There is, in the opinion of some, a reasonable chance that Johnson will be claimed Monday,’ per Schefter.
Minutes before Schefter’s report, the Ravens released a statement, noting that they have activated DB Desmond King and WR Anthony Miller from the practice squad in light of Johnson’s departure and ahead of their game against the Steelers at home.
